Amina Djukic is the Firm’s newest criminal defence counsel. She is committed to providing exceptional legal representation for all clients. Following completion of a LLB degree at the University of Leeds in 2022, she joined Moon Gensey LPC as an Articling Student thereafter.
Ms. Djukic was called to the bar in 2024. She is excited to commence her career with assigned involvement in three (3) Murder trials and a Dangerous Offender Hearing. To this end her consistent demonstration to manage demanding criminal charges is being sharply tuned. Ms. Djukic feels that when the odds are truly against a client on paper, one of the strongest tools is negotiation and legal argument.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, Ms. Djukic works tirelessly to identify potential Charter violations and legal issues which significantly impact client defence. Having conducted a contested reverse onus bail hearing in which DNA on a firearm on stolen property with matching fingerprints were impeding the client’s liberty, Ms. Djukic successfully secured the client bail. Through this outcome, her commitment to obtaining the best possible results for clients and her passion as an effective litigator are evidenced.
With Advocacy being an innate trait of Ms. Djukic, she is automatically drawn to speaking out against injustices and advocating for those who cannot do so for themselves. This lifelong passion continues to fuel her approach to criminal defence.
Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Djukic enjoys spending time with loved ones, travelling, pursuing the thrill of scuba diving, and indulging in her passion for driving.
